Payment and Refund Policy

Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Scope of the Policy and the Services Covered

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all legal services provided by Googelzo to entrepreneurs in Singapore. The services include contract drafting, intellectual property advice, business structuring, regulatory compliance support, and programming-related legal consultations such as software licensing agreements and technology venture formation. The policy covers both one-time engagements and ongoing retainers for clients based in or operating within Singapore.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Additional Charges

All fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD). Prices are exclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the prevailing rate of nine percent unless otherwise stated. Additional charges may apply for disbursements such as court filing fees, third-party expert consultations, or expedited document reviews. Clients will receive a detailed fee estimate before any work commences, and Googelzo will obtain prior approval for any costs exceeding the initial quotation by more than ten percent.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation, and Security

Payments are accepted via bank transfer, credit card, or PayNow. All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant gateways. Authorisation occurs at the time of booking or upon invoice issuance. Googelzo does not store card details. Clients must ensure sufficient funds are available to avoid declined payments.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

A contract is formed when Googelzo issues a written confirmation email after receiving the client's acceptance of the engagement letter and any required deposit. Service commencement begins only after receipt of the initial payment or signed retainer agreement. No work will proceed without this confirmation.

Cancellation Rights and Periods

Clients may cancel engagements within seven working days of contract formation provided no substantial work has begun. For services already partially performed, cancellation may incur charges for work completed up to the cancellation date. Statutory cooling-off periods under Singapore's Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act apply where relevant.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available only if services remain undelivered due to Googelzo's inability to perform or if the client cancels within the permitted period before work starts. Non-refundable items include deposits for reserved time slots, completed deliverables, and any third-party costs already incurred. Promotional or discounted packages are generally non-refundable once activated.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, clients must submit a written request via the contact form on the website or by emailing [email protected]. The request must include the engagement reference number, date of payment, reason for cancellation, and supporting documentation. Requests received more than thirty days after the invoice date will not be considered.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification

Googelzo will acknowledge receipt of the refund request within three working days. A review will be completed within fourteen working days. Clients will be notified of approval or rejection in writing. If rejected, reasons will be provided along with any options for appeal or alternative resolution.

Refund Method, Processing Time, and Receipt of Funds

Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method. Processing takes five to ten working days after approval. Bank transfers or credit card reversals may require additional time depending on the financial institution. Clients will receive confirmation once the refund is processed.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, and Services

For digital deliverables such as template contracts or compliance checklists, refunds are not available once the files have been downloaded. Subscription-based retainers may be paused or terminated with thirty days' notice, with pro-rated refunds for unused periods after deducting administrative fees. Promotional offers are subject to their specific terms stated at purchase.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Fraud

Failed payments must be resolved within seven days to avoid suspension of services. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded promptly upon verification. Chargebacks or suspected fraudulent activity will trigger an immediate review, and Googelzo reserves the right to suspend services and pursue recovery through legal channels under Singapore law.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in Singapore

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act, the Sale of Goods Act, or other applicable statutes. Clients retain the right to seek remedies through the Small Claims Tribunal or other authorised channels for disputes under SGD 20,000.

Contact Route, Policy Changes, and Updates

For questions regarding this policy, contact Googelzo via [email protected] or the contact form. This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in law or business practices. The current version will always be posted on the website with the last updated date clearly indicated. Continued use of services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
